He provided the keys to understanding the transformational project he has led in our company, which has given rise to the birth of the new oral healthcare group known as DONTE GROUP. Javier shared his declaration and spotlight with Marisa Palacios, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6S6ELdY0s8Y\">General Manager BioScience<\/a> and with Juan Fern\u00e1ndez-Aceytuno S\u00e1enz de Santa Mar\u00eda, Director General of Sociedad de Tasaci\u00f3n.  Three transformational experiences in different sectors.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event, with a format based on exposition and debate, was led by Juan Luis Polo, founder and CEO of the Good Rebels agency. Javier Mart\u00edn talked about the essential capabilities of a leader who is involved in change processes in companies, about the persons they empower to lead the different areas of the company, about how to tackle that resistance to change present in any organisation and about how to measure transformation once it is implemented. He also commented on whether there is any methodology that he has applied. Mart\u00edn described the path followed by Vitaldent during the last 5 years, in which he led the transformation of this company to achieve the consolidation and creation of the DONTE GROUP.   <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Entrevista Javier Mart\u00edn  por la agencia Good Rebels  CEOS Transformacionales\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IOGkV1Hk41k?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our CEO gave several interesting messages that constitute some of the keys about how to lead change: <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cBased on my professional experience over the years, I believe that organisational transformation requires a clear and defined leadership while also establishing processes for listening to the opinions of the staff in order to overcome resistance to change, as I explained at this event, which has been a huge success\u201d. <\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Javier Mart\u00edn mentioned 3 characteristics displayed by transformational leaders: <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201c1) Knowledge of the sector and a keen observation of the needs and demands of society are fundamental, as they have a direct impact in decision-making (assuming responsibilities and searching for real solutions). We CEOs must face difficulties and be able to choose the most appropriate path to overcome every challenge. And all this must be done with respect. If, in addition, the company you manage operates in the healthcare sector, your activity has a direct impact on society in terms of prevention and healthcare. It is a huge responsibility, but also a rewarding experience. 2) Empathy and good communication skills to motivate your staff and econvey the importance of the project based on how it affects them in the company.     <\/em> <em>3) Coherence: fulfilling the commitments acquired and communicated to stakeholders\u201d. <\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our CEO went on to say that there were three essential levers for doing this: <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cknowledge of the sector and its social demands, empathy and good communication skills and coherence between what one says and what one does\u201d.<\/em><br\/><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\"><strong>A CEO caught up in a war of titans<\/strong><br\/><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the weeks prior to the Good Rebels event, Javier Mart\u00edn Oca\u00f1a had the opportunity to be interviewed by Good Rebels for the CEO channel, in order to present his vision of business leadership in the series #Changemakers.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our friends at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/canalceo\/\">CEO<\/a> quisieron contar con nuestro CEO, Javier Mart\u00edn Oca\u00f1a, dentro de su serie <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=changemakers&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A6985267762277281792&amp;lipi=urn%3Ali%3Apage%3Ad_flagship3_detail_base%3Bvci%2BQT8cRESXnY5JMMoYvg%3D%3D\">#Changemakers<\/a>: committed to change.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/>In the interview held entitled \u201cA CEO caught up in a war of titans\u201d, Javier shed some light on the qualities and responsibilities that good leadership requires. Based on the values that we at DONTE GROUP display with pride, they involve non-conformism, courage, empathy and of course, discipline.<br\/><br\/>To inspire, one must teach by example. That was the maximum highlighted by Javier during the interview, based on his experience in our company:  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cFrom the very first moment, I tried to introduce the necessary non-conformism into the company, aiming to overstep boundaries and transgress consistently, which is essential in our company\u201d.<\/em><br\/><br\/>During the interview, mention was made of the challenges we will be facing as a company in future years. The main one is to increase the capillarity of our centres in order to be present in all cities with more than 30,000 inhabitants (this means doubling the number of clinics we are currently operating), in order to make progress in \u201cdemocratising\u201d access to oral health for all Spanish citizens. Once this has been achieved, the next challenge will be to replicate this successful model in the European market. Javier explained the steps to follow to achieve these exciting milestones: attract talent to accompany this burgeoning growth and naturally, retaining the close to 7,000 professionals who work with us. <em>\u201cOur aim is to be a company where everyone wants to work in and no-one wants to leave\u201d<\/em>. As indicated by our CEO in the interview, people must be at the centre of all growth processes, as they are the ones who give the company the tools that will allow us to get closer to achieving our goals.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When asked how the company aims to evaluate its social proposal in an objective and measurable way, we are pleased to communicate the plans of DONTE GROUP, alluding to the explanations given by Javier at the event:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em> \u201cLooking to the future, I believe that if a company has a positive social impact and is able to transform the society in which it operates, economic results will always follow.
