Madrid, 28st March 2023.-
At DONTE GROUP, we would like to share a step we are taking to turn our centers into sustainable and environmentally friendly spaces. Specifically, 353 of our dental clinics have switched to 100% renewable energy sources. This is excellent news not only for our company but also for the planet and the dental sector in Spain, and it is in line with the commitment that companies and organizations around the world are making.
The transition to renewable energy is crucial if we want to stop climate change and reduce our carbon footprint. This type of energy comes from natural sources that are infinite and non-polluting, such as the sun, wind, water, or geothermal energy. The electricity generated through these resources is much cleaner than fossil fuels and eliminates the emission of greenhouse gases that are harmful to the environment. DONTE GROUP’s adoption of clean energy is an example of business leadership in sustainability, demonstrating our commitment to protecting the environment through concrete measures like these. In addition to reducing our carbon footprint, the transition to renewable energy has also allowed us to reduce long-term costs and allocate that money to improving other aspects outlined in our ESG roadmap.
There is no doubt that companies have a very important role to play in conserving the planet. Therefore, it is essential to implement measures such as the transition to renewable energy, to be responsible for the environment, and to benefit society as a whole. Nowadays, it is more necessary than ever to follow quantifiable strategies that allow us to measure the impact we generate on the planet and people. However, we still have a long way to go to reduce the environmental footprint of businesses and be leaders in sustainability. At DONTE GROUP, we have launched an ESG roadmap based on three fundamental pillars: People, Planet, and Good Governance. Some of the measures we are implementing include: increasing diversity in the workforce and ensuring an excellent and sustainable experience for customers; promoting employee well-being; democratizing universal access to oral health care; conducting an environmental impact assessment and establishing quantifiable objectives to reduce greenhouse gases and increase recycling, and in the area of good governance, promoting a sustainable culture and informing our stakeholders of financial and non-financial results. All of these projects allow us to have a positive impact on the environment in which we operate and contribute to improving the quality of life of people, the planet, and corporate governance.
