DONTE GROUP joins REDI to promote LGBTI diversity in the workplace

DONTE GROUP, a leading oral health care group in Spain, has joined the association Red Empresarial por la Diversidad e Inclusión LGBTI (REDI) to promote diversity in the workplace. In this way, we have become the first company in the oral health sector to join the REDI ecosystem. De esta forma, nos convertimos en la primera compañía del sector de la salud bucodental que se adhiere al ecosistema REDI.

Although Spain is internationally recognized as one of the most advanced countries in terms of legislation and protection of LGBTI rights, there is still a sociocultural reality that is advancing at a slower pace than the laws. According to recent studies, some LGBTI people face additional difficulties in the workplace due to social biases. These impediments combined with the historical social challenge faced by the collective negatively affect their personal fulfillment, commitment and work performance, creating a tension between their private and professional lives.

To enable the professional and personal development of the collective, DONTE GROUP joins the already more than 230 REDI partners, which reach more than 700,000 professionals are committed to fostering a respectful environment in companies, enhancing the visibility and inclusion of talent, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. In turn, they want to contribute to the social normalization of LGBTI people in Spain and the elimination of sociocultural prejudices that hinder their professional development and full performance.

As part of our adherence to the REDI ecosystem, at DONTE GROUP we have implemented throughout the month of June a series of initiatives in our clinics and among our employees to promote LGBTI inclusion and diversity in the workplace. These actions include the placement of rainbow vinyls on the facades of the group’s clinics and the projection of videos related to the group on the screens in the waiting rooms and shop windows. In addition, other internal activities aimed at employees are being carried out with the aim of promoting an inclusive and diverse work environment. These measures reflect DONTE GROUP’s commitment to equality and the promotion of diversity in all its business areas.
