At DONTE GROUP, we are joining forces with Manu San Félix, marine biologist,
explorer, and National Geographic communicator, along with the Vellmarí Association,
to protect and restore the Mediterranean Sea.
Through this partnership, we will donate €10,000 to Vellmarí, an organization dedicated
to catalyzing societal change and inspiring the protection of at least 30% of the
Mediterranean through education and communication. Additionally, we are committed
to replanting 500 seagrass plants of Posidonia before the end of the year, contributing
to the recovery of these vital and pollution-sensitive marine meadows. The Vellmarí
Association has been engaged in this work since 1994, focusing on the coasts of
Formentera and Ibiza.
Reducing Our Carbon Footprint
At DONTE GROUP, we continue to improve our environmental management as part of
our ESG strategy, which emphasizes transparency, good governance, environmental
protection, and caring for people. This agreement with Vellmarí is part of our efforts to
offset the carbon generated by our activities and significantly reduce our carbon
footprint.
As our CEO, Javier Martín Ocaña, states: “Our commitments translate into actions. We
constantly strive to implement initiatives that positively impact both the environment
and our operations, such as this collaboration with the Vellmarí Association. We want
to be part of the solution to climate change, and we are working to optimize resource
management and minimize our carbon footprint.”
Inspiring Positive Change
During our recent Annual Convention, we had the honor of hosting Manu San Félix as
a special guest. His dedication to sustainability inspires us to keep pushing forward.
“We want to be agents of change not only in oral health but also in sustainability,”
concludes our CEO.
We will continue working to align oral health and environmental protection, reaffirming
our commitment to being a responsible and socially engaged group.
